Samantha Barnett is a principal at Capitol Counsel, LLC.   • Office of Senator Pete Ricketts (R-NE), Washington, D.C. – Legislative Assistant. Led the Senator’s agriculture, natural resources, and environmental portfolios with particular focus on commodity, biofuel, and animal protein policy.
  • Senate Environment and Public Works Subcommittee on Fisheries, Water, and Wildlife, Washington, D.C. – Staff Director. Led the subcommittee’s work on jurisdictional statutes and agencies, including the Clean Water Act, the Endangered Species Act and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
  • Senate Committee on Energy & Natural Resources (Sen. John Barrasso), Washington, D.C. – Senior Legislative Assistant. Managed the National Park System, Wild and Scenic River System, and National Trails System portfolio in coordination with the subcommittee’s bipartisan leadership.
