Capitol Counsel lobbyists representing Ontario and Alberta set up meetings and calls for provincial officials with more than a dozen Republican members of Congress as well as Oklahoma Gov. Kevin Stitt.

“Ever since his first term, his trade deals have generally involved these kinds of purchase agreements,” said Bruce Hirsh, a trade policy expert at Capitol Counsel, a lobbying firm in Washington that has clients in the aerospace industry. “Our trading partners know this, so they’re looking for these kinds of big-ticket items that they can offer to purchase.”

Capitol Counsel’s Mac Campbell, who previously lobbied for Blue Origin in 2021, resumed working for the company last month — along with tax lobbyists David Olander and David Bridges — to “monitor and evaluate proposed changes to the Internal Revenue Code being considered by Congress as part of the budget reconciliation process,” according to a disclosure filing.
