Capitol Counsel Adds Former Senator Barrasso Tax Counsel David Bridges as Partner

WASHINGTON, DC – Capitol Counsel is adding another partner, further strenghtening their expertise in energy and tax policy, and providing their clients with bipartisan support in energy, tax and environmental policy in this closely divided Congress.

Davide Bridges said, “Having worked with Capitol Counsel over the years, I am keenly aware of the value the firm provides its clients and the respect the firm has on Capitol Hill. I look forward to helping Capitol Counsel’s clients navigate the challenges and capitalize on the opportunities presented in the worlds of tax and energy policy.”

“David epitomizes the firm’s unwavering committment to a bipartisan approach to policy and politics on behalf of our clients. His unique experience as a senior congressional advisor and in government relations in the energy industry will make him another notable addition to our bipartisan, bicameral team as we once again pursue clients’ objectives under divided government.” said Partner, Dave Olander.

Bridges is joining the firm with a considerable amount of experience in the energy industry, and additionally in government relations. David worked in government relations at the Edison Electric Institute, and then at the Kimberly-Clark Corporation. During David’s tenure as Tax Counsel to Senator John Barrasso (R-WY) – his most recent position – he served as the Senator’s senior advisor on tax, retirement, and small business policy. While David was working for Senator Barrasso, the Senator was the chairman of the Senate Republican Conference. Senator Barrasso also remains Ranking Member of the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee and a member of the Senate Finance Committee.

Capitol Counsel Partner, Shannon Finley, said “David is a seasoned veteran of Capitol Hill with in-depth knowledge of energy and tax policy. He brings specialized expertise and relationships to the team and will provide our clients with indispensable guidance regarding energy and tax policy.”
