Capitol Counsel is pleased to announce the addition of Warren Tryon to the firm’s financial services practice and legislative team.
Tryon was named in National Journal’s “Top Hill Staffers” magazine as one of the lead congressional staffers during his tenure as the Deputy Staff Director for the House Financial Services Committee. Tryon coordinated with House leadership to develop the passage of major financial services legislation, including Dodd-Frank reform bills, the JOBS Act, Bigger-Waters Flood Insurance Reform Act, Export-Import Bank Reauthorization of 2012, and a comprehensive housing reform bill on the Federal Housing Administration’s insurance program.
“We are thrilled to add Warren to our team of talented individuals,” said Capitol Counsel Partner, Jeff Walter. “He will truly improve our capacity to serve our clients by building a stronger and broader bi-partisan financial services team.”
Capitol Counsel’s team of experts focuses on the policy, politics, and process of Washington. Tryon brings 20 years of House and Senate experience to the firm’s already strong policy teams. The addition of Tryon, who served under House Financial Services Committee Chairman Spencer Bachus, will complement the work of Jeff Walter and Jenn Fogel-Bublick, who both served for Senate Banking Committee Chairmen, and De’Ana Dow, an expert on financial services regulatory agencies.
“I am very excited for this opportunity and look forward to bringing my two decades of financial services and judiciary credentials to add to Capitol Counsel’s premier policy and government relations team,” said Tryon. “Our clients will benefit from the synergies of my experience in more policy areas.”
“I have been impressed with the work Warren has done for Chairman Bachus and the House Financial Services Committee,” said former Congressman and Capitol Counsel Partner, Jim McCrery. “He has done an outstanding job and is a hard worker. I look forward to his bringing that same commitment and service to our clients.”
Tryon is a graduate of the University of Vermont. In addition to his work on Capitol Hill, he has served as an advisor to the National Republican Congressional Committee and as a volunteer for a number of House and Senate campaigns.
